Counselor Interns HeadQuarters of San Antonio, Texas, will be hosting an event in observance of National Prevention Week and in collaboration with Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). National Prevention Week is a SAMHSA-supported annual health observance dedicated to increasing public awareness of, and action around, substance abuse and mental health issues. It is an opportunity to join with other individuals, organizations, and coalitions to promote prevention efforts, educate others about behavioral health issues, and create and strengthen community partnerships. This year’s theme is “Your voice. Your choice. Make a difference.”
This FREE event is open to students, interns, and professionals in all areas of the counseling field. The purpose is to bring awareness to the importance of prevention training for counselors. We will have prevention specialists attest to this importance and provide information on how individuals working within the community could benefit from prevention training; information about how and where to get the training will also be provided.
Join us at the symposium “Incorporating Prevention into Counseling” during National Prevention Week. It will be a great opportunity to network!
Refreshments will be provided.
Seating is limited to just 40 participants so RSVP today!
